You know what's great about having a best friend that has worked at both Anthro and J.Crew? When she sells her unwanted clothing, I get first dibs. I've coveted (yes, coveted) this shirt since I first saw her wear it a year or two ago, and my heart stopped when I saw it in her to-sell pile. Of course I snatched it up, along with 5 shirts, a pair of shoes, and 5 DVDs. Happy day.
Also, I MADE THIS SKIRT. I am becoming quite the crafty woman lately. It's the same pattern as this skirt, but I made it a few inches longer. This one went by significantly quicker than the first! Other accomplishments lately: I made vanilla cupcakes that were all the rage at game night, and I parallel parked for the second time in my life. I'm feeling real good about myself, guys.
I'm getting a little antsy lately because Matt gets home in less than a month! I haven't seen him since January, so it's really all I can think about. From then on, we are onto our next adventure, which I have yet to reveal... it's a good one though, guys. I'm hoping it all works out...

I love this outfit! It is so cute and looks really comfortable.
You are just the cutest! I hope that this month goes by quickly for you and that you get some more cute skirts sewn! This is a great combo and what a great friend you have!
So jealous of your sewing skills!! This skirt is perfection, especially with your coveted gingham top :) wish I had a stylish friend to swap/steal clothes. And you go girl with cupcake success and parallel parking!! Things that are not easy to perfect at all! Keep up with that self pride and confidence, and safe travels to Matt when he returns home! Cannot believe it is so soon - time flies! I feel like you were just announcing your unfortunate hiatus :( But I'm sure you miss him immensely, it will feel so good to be reunited and fall in deeper love <3 and cannot wait to hear about your newest adventure together! You have me on my toes!
Take care, gorgeous! Have a great rest of the week!
the skirt is really pretty, love the print you chose, and you did such a nice job, too!
Very cute skirt!
That skirt is super cute - nice job! If you're interested in another super easy pattern, I just made this skirt recently. :)

that bracelet of yours is awesome, and good job on that skirt! i've never made a skirt, but i have parallel parked about 4 or 5 times in my life so far. secretly hoping that number doesn't have to go up any time soon. :)
Great skirt! I love it with that shirt too. It's nice to take pleasure in the little things. :)

i bought that shirt a while back and it was the best decision i ever made. its amazing!
Right?? I want to wear it ALL. THE. TIME.
Cute outfit - very fun and girly. Looking forward to hearing about the next adventure. :)
i love this look - so fresh and spring-y!
Love the skirt!! The length is perfect and I think you picked an adorable pattern for it. Seeing all the skirts you're making really makes me want to take my sewing machine out of the closet and make something too. If only the weather in Seattle were less rainy and more sunny... definitely not motivated to sew only to get drenched by the rain in a skirt!
So jealous yet again...you really have made the most adorable little skirts! I need to learn this from you. And I'm excited for you to see Matt, and excited to find out what your big reveal is!!!
