This outfit was partly inspired by this pin on Pinterest. Never had mustard and mint looked SO GOOD. So, I tried it today. And I quite liked it.
Did you see this sweet origami crane brooch? I'm kind of in love with it. It's just so delicate and I love the light wood color. Not to mention, I think origami cranes are the coolest thing, EVER. After receiving this brooch in the mail, I took it upon myself to actually try to make an origami crane. Guys, it's hard. It takes a lot of precision and care, and I'm pretty sure the first (and only) three I attempted ended up in the trash can. (Fast forward to a week later, when I gave my 11-year-old students origami paper. Like lightning, they immediately started folding and folding, and in 20 seconds flat, made perfect origami cranes. Needless to say, I was impressed.)
And now, time for the giveaway winner! The winner of $35 towards Rebecca handbags and jewelry is...

ReplyDeleteI love the mint and mustard! This is a great preppy look! And the crane broach is too cool. I remember hearing the story of the paper crane when I was little. It is such a great story! But I can't oragami (is that a verb and a noun?) for crap.
ReplyDeleteI just had to repin that pin! so beautiful :) I adore your look too Kristine! the brooch is just the cutest :) x
ReplyDeleteLove this broach! I used to fold Origami Cranes all the time (pretty sure I still remember how), I tried to make 1000 for like in the book 1000 paper cranes, I've no idea if I ever succeeded, I gave loads of them away. I didn't have anything I wished for hard enough to really try & make it happen.
ReplyDeleteAw the pin is uber cute!
