Cardy, Necklace, Belt: J.Crew; Shirt: H&M; Pants: Urban; Shoes: Buffalo Exchange
Okay, so the 30 for 30 is getting difficult. I thought it would be pretty easy for me, since I kind of just throw random clothes together and I usually end up liking it. But my thought process with this outfit was... now what cardigan and shirt haven't I worn together? Frick. And I've still got 19 more days.
My days are starting to reflect that we are, indeed, moving to Japan soon. I feel like I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out visas and passports and getting all my doctor's appointments in before we leave. On the bright side, I really want to throw myself (I mean, me and Matt. Or Matt and I. Whatever.) a going away party... Because I really liked the sheet cake that we served at our wedding, and I need an opportunity to order one before we go. The party will probably end up with a bunch of our friends sitting in a circle, and me forcing them to tell me their favorite memory of me. Oh wait, that was my birthday party last year. It rocked.
Jumping back to Japan, we just found out that Matt needs to be in Japan for training on March 22. So... I guess we're actually moving next month. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! (Although, I may be hanging out here for a little longer while he is in training... must figure that out pronto. Yes, I said pronto.)
PS I put the first two photos up because it made me want to sing "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, saying aaaayo..." Matt says it's more like, "If you ever loved somebody put your hands up." (But we always put our hands down for the next line.)
PSS (PPS?) I'm a bat

I know I'm completely struggling with creating new outfits! Note to self... pick more tops next time! Anyway, on to the REAL reason I'm writing... It's my sisters b-day today, so I totally get to eat a sheet cake from Costco today. Interestingly enough, I immediately thought of you, which either makes me a crazy stalker, or you someone who talks about Costco sheet cakes a lot. haha Have a good day! I'll eat an extra slice for you. ; )
ReplyDeleteNext month sounds really soon! Good luck with your preparations :)
ReplyDeleteThe cardigan is really cute by the way x

I'm so excited for you! I'd love to live in Japan for some time...
ReplyDeleteAnyways, moving to the outfit: I loooove that necklace on you! Makes this comfy look so elegant!
I totally LOVE this outfit! I'm sure your wardrobe and fashion sense is just so slick that you can put a trash bag, belt & hat on and still look kindof very awesome.
ReplyDeleteGoing away party sounds good! I should do the memory thing with my birthday party, except in Japan you're supposed to be humble and... stuff.
Next month is really soon! I hope all your planning goes well. There's really nothing you need to bring from the States that Japan wouldn't have, I think. Wait, maybe some tubes of toothpaste. Cuz they don't really do fresh, minty toothpaste over here.
And deodorant. Apparently people don't have B.O. here.
And special Arizona sweets/food/novelty to give as presents to Japanese friends/neighbors. Sort of like a "Hi, nice to meet you, hope we get along" sort of feeling.
If you have any questions, def. email me! thoatnguyen@gmail.com
PS. I TOTALLY understand what you mean by the band that makes the eyebrows on the panda. HAHA. Either I'm really Japanese or you're really good at explaining things. Hahah.
You always have the most beautiful pictures and creative outfits. I know you will do great with the rest of the challenge. Thanks for the inspirations!
